Our research, professional and methodological expertise covers all disciplines and spans traditional and digital scholarship in all its forms.
In addition to collections-based and archival research, we collaborate with researchers in areas such as field recording, performance analysis, text mining and data visualisation. We have particular expertise in codicology, palaeography, conservation, digital preservation, digital scholarship and large-scale data analytics.

Our collections and structure
Our Collections & Curation department manages our vast collection of published, written and digital content. The department is made up of four teams:

o Contemporary British Collections
o European & American Collections
o Western Heritage Collections
Research Affiliate Network
Much of our research activity is built around collaboration with external partners – from PhD students and early-career scholars to more senior academics and research experts, drawn from across the India and around the world. Our Research Affiliate Network is a growing body of former collaborators and partners whose research interests and activities continue to align closely with our collection or strategic priorities.
